Hey Got the webber last night but with the new central locking I didn't have time to fit both but I was looking around the carby itsself there seems to be a large amount of hose attatchments I know I could just randomly attach the current hoses till I got it right or be plain boring and ask for advi...

Hey Y'all

Just about to pick up an adapter plate but the one they had isn't the one specified by the book only by the fact that the one in the book has a water pipe connection that feeds into the carby. do I need this water pipe and what would it be for

Yep seems I had a dodgy globe swapped the around an 'disco' works perfectly.

as for the 'what are the original globes' the shroud shows 12v 8w/27w but i think 5w/24w is what you find at your local shop..

I gather it detects a different voltage drop from what it needs thus thinking a globe it blown..I'll check that tonight..I thought I may have shorted a wire out..

Stop light warning indicator

Hey Y'all

Just swapped my tail lamps (whole lens and cowling) and when I apply the brake I get a brake lamp warning light on my dash (1983) I checked the lamps (thanks to a broomstick wedged against my seat :roll: ) and they are on and bright..all the other lamps work fine..Any clues?

The 'cop on the offramp' job came from the UK from what I remember, on the Autobahns when the cars fly by at 150+mph they would speedgun them and a cop porsche would ahve the offramp leading down to the Bahn to pick up speed so they could catch them. I supose with all the high performance WRX's now ...

Hi I did this once and found that the bright light on my bonnet was a hassel ended up squinting alot 8) , try it first before you permenently bolt it together. A friend of mine ended up covering the lower part of the spotty to shadow the light on the bonnet or you could paint ya bonnet black. :) goo...
