Re: 2022 Forester Battery drain
You might have to get something like a CTEK MXS 5.0 charger, to top off the battery every 3 - 4 weeks (just a guess) to keep it in top condition.

Re: Forester seat covers - canvas or neoprene?
I went for the Jacquard Weekender Seat Covers for my Honda HR-V. They are expensive but are worth every cent, mine are 3 years old still look good, not faded either despite being black. They are great seat covers, Grandkids have spilt milk - chocolate etc. on them, there is no sign of a stain on eit...

Re: Driver Assistance less than functional.
....I entirely understand your point of view, as after experiencing Subaru's DAT and yet another "glitch" this afternoon when the vehicle wouldn't unlock, and after a walk to the local Servo to buy and fit new 2032 Duracell for the fob, and it then letting me in, but flashing-up a message about Eye...

I can't see the picture/s here either, but found it on Imgur.
I downloaded Tim's 2 pictures. Then I uploaded them to Imgur myself, I had to copy the BBcode link for Forums to get the pictures to work.

How long since the fuel filter was last changed?
It could be clogged and finding it hard to maintain a constant supply.

Re: Silverbullets' resto: Engine, gearbox, suspension
Good to hear that you found a site for your pin connector plugs. I stumbled across another place for JDM parts day before yesterday, but lost the link and had to go searching for it again. This site has OEM parts for a range of vehicles. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything for the earlier Subaru's...

Re: Silverbullets' resto: Engine, gearbox, suspension
I'm not going that far, no space or budget for a donor vehicle. I'd sooner make a new engine loom from scratch because it would be a better end result. But just can't buy the plug and pin connector kits for the factory hardware for love nor money. Silverbullet: Remember, I am not Subaru literate, I...

Re: Sister's Gen3 Liberty "Basil"
Subyroo apologies I locked in that your foz was a 2013 model, not a 2003 model with 13 years ownership. Sad ending but kind of good knowing where your car went, what happened to it and that it (I hope) saved its occupants in the T-bone incident that sent it to its grave. Cheers Bennie Thanks Bennie...

Re: Sister's Gen3 Liberty "Basil"
Bennie, sadly my Forester will never reach the kilometers anywhere near what "Basil" has achieved. I swapped my Forester with my daughter, who later onsold it to a girlfriends son, last year he was t-boned and "Casper" was no more, he was written off. :( :( :( I swapped over to a 2013 Honda CRV afte...

Heh, yeah I just couldn't resist  After washing it, just looked too good to walk away from for the day. That's all the same bracket, just different stages of completion ;) I was hoping the guys that did the engine build could tune it, they're the premier high performance Subaru tuners in Adela...

I spent the day inside in the airconditioning, it got 37 here today, BOM has warned us that we heatwave conditions until Monday.
