Just a quick wiring question, Does the ECU ground the pin for the main fan when the temperature reaches the set point or does it actualy feed power out of the ECU. AND..... Regardless of how the feed comes/goes from this pin, is it powering a solenoid? Once again, any help here appreciated. Cheers

Yep... thats the one. Coming out of pin C10 on my three connector ECU.

Thanks for that. What is this wire connected to on the starter? Ie: Where is it getting its signal from?

Would this wire from the ECU run a relay prior to the starter motor for example? Is it normal for modern cars to have the ECU controlling the starter...

Hi guys, Can I hack into the cam sensor or the crank sensor and use it as a square wave generator in lue (lew.. liew.. loo ?) of the speed sensor. I will be running the EJ22 on an engine stand but need to give the ECU something to keep it happy. Will I need to amplify it? and what is a good voltage ...

Sorry mate, should of mentioned that the engine is an EJ22 from a 96 lib.

How does the ECU interpret the 2nF capacitor? I basically have no idea but am keenly interested in how this works.

What sort of signal is given by the knock sensor....? Is it a constant voltage? How does the signal change when it senses a ping?

Can I trick the ECU into thinking there is a knock sensor connected....(I know its not advised etc, just need the info)

Was just wondering if you can change the rotation of the starter motor. Mine has two large terminals on opposite sides of the unit. Only one of them is being used.

If I connect the positive up to the other terminal will she spin in the opposite direction?
