You had said you had 4, I didnt see the point in buying a set of 4 or breaking them up.

How much more life can I expect out of an EA82 with 400k+ kms if driven and serviced well? While that does seem like a lot of kms, a well serviced motor still should have a reasonable amount of life in it Could I downgrade to an reconditioned EA81 without having to modify crossmembers, use adaptor ...

Im not sure if its a technical glitch or a mistake but Steptoe /Jono cant log in because he gets a message he has been permanently banned.

88 MPFI touring wagon, marked with only "Hitachi made in japan" has rubber vent hole and 93mm between bolt centres

3 plug ea82T, no markings other than "made in Japan" no vent, 91mm between bolt centres

Yes I agree, I doubt the immobiliser would cause a miss but I wonder what would happen if you disconnected the imobiliser while the engine is running? Would it cut spark or fuel,... or does the ECU only look the immobiliser signal when starting?

I have a mate who own a workshop and is having a very similar issue with a customers 02 Foz.
He has done everything much like you have and is now thinking it might be an ECU or imobiliser issue

Why not use a simple op-amp in inverting mode from the tach output of the edis module and use it to turn the positive pulses into negative pulses?
