I have to agree... I don't like the look of pretty much the entire range with the exception of the STI WRX... and even thats not as pretty as earlier models.

I was reading that XV Ute thread and recalled seeing a thread on photochopping. Thought I'd give it a go and see how the 2013 Outback would look as a ute/Brumby http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/2295/uteresize.jpg [/URL] I think the tail lights need changing. Would've like to add some trimming arou...

Yup... just started keeping track of the mileage yesterday, so I'll update when I know more.

So far, on the open road - 8L to the 100 sounds about right. Seems to be doing about 11l per 100 around town.

Fuel warning light comes on at around 440-450.

Previous owner reckons its still got 100+ k's to go on that but I'm thinking nearer 60 going by the owners manual of 10 Liters left in the tank when the light comes on.

Thanks guys. I'm a photographer by trade, so it was bound to be the first thing I do when the car hit the road again :).

Well, got all the parts done and the mirrors painted up. Need to get some wax on them to shine them up with the rest of the car. Took it down the road for a sunset shot now she's all cleaned up. Very happy. http://i49.tinypic.com/51ub9d.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/13yplxi.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/n...

Will be buying a...

Got the H6 this afternoon. LOVE it. Its a nice drive and I'm loving the Sunroof and Moonroof as I've never had them in a car before... well, at least not working ones ;) I've got some work to do, but most of it cosmetic. Supposedly the breaks were done recently but I hear the distinct sound of metal...

I take it they whine - especially at low revs?

It didn't make any noises at all when I test drove it but I'll take the cover off the engine and make a good inspection when I get it tomorrow.

Cool... had me worried a bit there. Was sure it was a chain after all my research. :) We've put a deposit down... pick up the car on Sunday. Looking forward to it. I've also gotten a quote for the parts I need. For 2 mirrors ($120), tailgate garnish ($150) and tail light ($80) its going to cost me $...

The parts I need aren't colour coded... just need the garnish for the tailgate and the left hand tail light. A driver side mirror might be a good idea too. PM what you'd want for them and and maybe an estimate for postage and I'll get in touch when I've got the car. Putting deposit on tonight. I can...

Buying a H6 - advice on a couple of issues

Hi All, Been ages since I was last here. I use to own an L-Series a few years ago but ended up having to sell it when I was waiting for an operation. Anyway, I'm getting back into a Subaru. I'm looking at an 2001 H6. It has some damage to the taligate trim around the reverse light and logo, LHR tail...

I don't expect the roof top camper to be too bad... it'll have a tapered front. I know it'll hurt fuel economy though.

Yup... but I'll get out fishing a lot quicker! Not just that though... who really likes setting up a tent in the dark. I've got a long trip planned and don't want to be setting up a tent every night for a few weeks. Canberra -> Brisbane -> Alice Springs -> Adeliade -> Canberra and a bunch ...

L series roof racks - rooftop camper - weight?

Will the L series standard roof racks take the weight of a rooftop camper with two people in it? Maybe more to the point - will the gutters handle the weight at only 4 points of contact? I've got some ideas for a roof top camper but wasn't sure. Be MUCH easier to use the standard roof racks but if I...

would have thought that it would be doing that before the rebuild... but stranger things have happened.

Then again... is it the same turbo as before the rebuild?
