Removing EA82 EGR Advice

Hey,

I'm currently doing the head gaskets on my Carb EA82 and I'm pretty keen on removing the EGR.

I would just like to grab some opinions on this and whether or not it's going to be a good or bad thing.

Cheers

EA82 Head Gasket

Hey, I've got a 1991 L Series Wagon with the EA82 SOHC Carb motor in it. The head gaskets are blown, I've taked the engine out and started stripping, got one of the heads off. I'm looking for a head gasket kit, Super Cheap couldn't help, but I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/85-94-SUBARU-L...

Hey,

Where did you pick them up? and What did you pay for them? I think my brother has talked to a few subaru mechanics so it shouldn't be that hard.

I'm definatley just gonna rebuild the EA at the moment but my brother works at Eagers so he gets a big discount on all eagers dealers so hes just gonna get the rebuild kit through them. It will probably be sent away to get the rings done as we don't have the knowledge/tools. Just bought a 1250kg eng...

Dom, I posted that lock nut to you today. Dirty Skirts post has some merrit. If you want to unscrew this thing on the vehicle without taking the trailing arm off, it could be a bit restricted getting access to the area to get some grunt on it. Maybe two holes through the end at 90 degrees to each o...

EJ22 or EJ20 into L Series Laws

Hey,

Considering putting a EJ22 or EJ20 into my 91 L Series Wagon. Just wondering how easy it is to get a mod plate? Is it possible? If so, what do I have to do to get it, mod wise?

I'm in QLD by the way.

Cheers

Gday Dommie, would'nt be releasing grease through the outer bearing seal by chance? Too much grease applied during fitment of new bearings, damage to seals during cv renewal/manipulation or a loose outer section of front hub can do this---i packed the new bearing assembly in my L with way too much ...

Nah it's not a CV click we know that much, It leaks an oil out of the centre side of the bolt on the hub, it gets little splatter lines on the wheels.

L Series front hub leak

Hey, My 1991 L Series Wagon seems to be leaking out the front hub and when driving normally it makes a sort of a clicking sound, but stops when you get on the brakes at all. Gonna have a talk to City Subaru tomorrow about it. Just thought I would post it up here first. Any ideas as to what it is? Ch...

What type of box is it? What year model Brumby? What Gen EJ motor?

I'm sure if you provide this some people can give you a straight up answer. I also think you can buy the plates from somewhere on here, do a search.
