Any idea when it normally reopens? I won't be able to get there before it closes, and it looks amazing from those photos!

Nice video, I think I need to get a GoPro. The drive back up was really good, only a bit of wheel spin, it was very dry and dusty. I had a dust white out at one point when I was too close to the Jeep in front.

Cool pictures, I need to spend some more time down there and check out the river !

Brindabella NP - Flea Creek

I figured this section of the forum needed a new post :) I decided that it was well past time to do some real off roading in the Outback, so we met up with a friend heading down to Flea Creek in his Jeep. We went in via Brindabella Road, that was the easy part, even Google street view has been down ...

How are the tires? Any clearance issues with the slightly larger size?

Yep that firetower is on the list to go back to.

Venom, happy to grab that number. I'd have to find the low range bits though.

It might also be worth getting the dealer to recalibrate the throttle. This is something they did to mine (not that it helped my problem). Maybe you aren't getting 100% throttle?

Yeah, the RS models that started with the bug eye in 2000 has the same suspension as the WRX but no turbo, so P plate friendly

Fuel use actually seems a bit low, I get more like 9.5l/100 around Canberra. I only get into the 8l range on the highway...

Which mechanic do you use? (I have a service due soon)

17" Tyres

I have a 2008 Outback, it has done just over 20,000 km and the Geolanders are just about stuffed. What have you used? So far the only tyres in the correct size (215/55/R17) that I can find are: - Goodyear EXCELLENCE - Bridgestone Turanza ER300 - Michelin Energy MXV8 - Dunlop LE MANS LM702 - Dunlop S...
