Hi team, Surely we have a conclusive answer to this and someone has done this. I have a brumby with 95 wrx box and ********* brake setup with wrx hubs. It was 5 years ago that i completed my conversion and i have been using it as an occasional driver. Very quickly i developed a loud knocking noise f...

I have Davies Craig slim line fans. Have the standard ea81 radiator with new inlet and outlets to cater for the larger ej radiator hoses. I mounted the fans on the outside between the grill and radiator. Very tight fit. The only problem is that they are powerful and makea loud spinning noise at idle...

How could it be the rack! I cut the ends off the rack so as it was identical to the EA81 rack, and then modified (filed the mounting bracket to fit. This cant be the problem, because with a proper wheel alignment nothing was revealed. The problem i am sure is the change in geometry with the drop. St...

Scoobie doobie and el freddo. I went the 2 inches because that's what I thought i needed for clearance. But it is absolutely the thing ruining the steering. Want to treat the gap between bonnet n engine and then bring it back up. Sway bar was made, luckily by a guy in town who makes custom sway bars...

Ej20t Brumby sus setup?

Hi Team, Hoping to get some advice? Have a brumby runnig a 94 wrx + drivetrain + 5 stud conversion. Lowered all the engine and gearbox 2 inches but that seems to cause me some issues with ground clearance on our dirt road, so will go back to std. But the car is great in a straight line, its when i s...

Well lovy dovy! I feel your pain, i have an EJ20T in my Brumby and am running through the standard carby pump to a 0.8l surge tank to the standard VL efi pump, with an inline generic filter at every potential spot. I hooked up the pumps off the same old wiring that went to the carby pump, so both pu...

Col Potts is out of business since the changes to the automotive engineers. Went through Troy Brodie in Fig Tree, who scared that absolute shit out of me when he took it to 120 on the freeway after i had never driven it on a bitumen road. And who wants light throttle! But yes next hot day I think th...

Your right on the fuel cap idea. I took the cap off and that allowed me to drive for around 40 minutesat around 90kmh, with no hard acceleration. It wasnt till i was up a steep hill and hard on the acceleration that it finally stopped again, and wouldnt start for around 40 minutes. Maybe the angle o...

Hi Team, Been a while since i have been on here. Project has been engineered and blue slipped in NSW, so we have been on the road for a couple of weeks now which has been nice after trying to build the car for 5 years. Anyway, fuel issue. This ones for the experts. Running brumby carby pump to carby...

ok, all a bit over my head despite doing the conversion myself. The AFM is still there, I just put the Pod filter on where the air box attached. That was my thought originally. No fault codes coming up apart from the check engine light coming on when doing a long descent and not using the throttle a...

EJ20T stalls out on gear change

Hi Team, ej20t GC8 in a brumby, pod filter. On deceleration, lets say to a set of lights, the engine will stall out between gear changes if I dont make them quick enough. But if I roll in slowly and are quick in down shifting then there are no problems, car will happily sit there at 800 rpm idle. An...

I have been using Fink Engineering Wollongong.

1st consultation is $500 to ge tall the things listed that needs to get fixed, then a subsequent $500 to pass everything else so as she can go in for a blue slip.

Passed the first inspection, i just need to get my surge tank figured so it runs smoother.

So, as far as I can understand.

run the standard carby fuel pump to the surge tank

then after the surge tank run a efi pump (but not a 044 as this will drain the surge tank to quickly)

So the question is then, what efi pump do people recommend?

Cheers
