Goodbye, Farewell

Yesterday traded the Lib on a Getz(wife's choice).

She had 355 000km still going strong.

Just want to thank all here for their help during the years. Keep up the good work, boys.

Cheers

Fuel filter changed every 10,000km Purge solenoid checked and re-checked This problem has been intermittent and plagued me for the last 12mths. I would love to see the set up of the 3 fuel pipes behind the A/C condensor it would appear there is a hole in the breather pipe. I have run a rubber hose f...

A lot of mounts have a thick solid centre that is bonded between the two mount plates with a pair of 'buffers' either side. Dunno if this mount has these buffers but sounds like it. Are you chasing a problem or just doing an inspection and thought "hang on...." Have heard intermittent dull thud fro...

Gearbox Mount

Here is a (bad) pic of my Gearbox or rear engine mount, 1992 manual Liberty. Question is it broken? because it seems the outer rubber mounts seem to have separated but the thicker inner rubber mounts are still solid. If I jack up the box, the inner rubber mounts stretch while the outer mounts move c...

Thanks. Obvious not common problem. Hoses under bonnet are fine. I pulled glovebox out yesterday and fuel line disappear behind fan box. Smell evident when air on recycle. A/C checks ok, no leaks, I had the boys test it so it will be fuel lines. Can I get fan box out without removing the a/c condens...

When a/c on recycle smell is very evident while on fresh no smell.

A/C Serial Number

Can someone with a Gen 1 Liberty 2.2EJ post the serial number of their a/c compressor. The sticker is on the front pulley, mine has over spray on it. I can see it is a ND Denso but can not read all the numbers. I need a new compressor and they all ask for this number.
Thanks

First guy charged me $130 for 4 injectors

Second guy charged me $106 because he felt sorry for me being ripped off by dodgy operator.

Got the original injectors done again.

It has made a difference.

Original guy that did them luckily did not stuff them only put on wrong O-rings + end caps.

Got my first eyes full of petrol experience doing this job.

I replaced it with second hand injector at least can get motor started now but still flooding likes like #4. Do I replace all injectors? Genuine want $500 per injector, any other o...
