Replacing front cv's

Sure this is be a dumb question! i have two spare rear drive shafts complete with cv's. Can use the cv's on the front as i need new ones?

front bearings went big time today!there is no subaru dealer here so i was wondering, does anyone know bearing numbers? there is a place that sells every one you can think of, i just need those numbers? can you help? front and rear if you know them!

prop shaft making noise!?

hey guys. i notice a strange metalic noise coming from the under side of the brumby. i can only discribe it as a metalic clicking/ticking. it is only when moving and it increases/speeds up when i speed up.i tried pushing on the 4x4 lever and it lessens. any idea? could it be the cv's on the prop sha...

I think getting new copper lines might not be as costly as all that. I bought a role of 6 metres of copper brake line for my trailer, I think it was about 25 bucks. i'm addicted already! only had my brumby for two weeks and i'm already looking at another one. was at the scrap yard yesterday and hidden away in the corner was a red 88 brumby with targa roof. i looked in realy good condition. it has the same rust problem as mine in the back arches but that was it....

i have checked with the old owner and he said he changed both the cv's and drive shafts. he hadn't noticed the sound before but agrees that its most likely the cv's. will try and get some new ones but knowing norway i will have to sell the motor to buy them:( thanks for the help guys. will keep you ...

knocking on full lock!

I have noticed that when i have full lock to the left, i get a knocking(cracking alomst). it's only on full lock. The guy i brought it from had only just chage the front drive shafts and CV's. Any idea what it could be??
