Cheers Bantum,
I haven't done anything with the Brumby this year as work has been very quiet.

The 180sx was a right off, went into the wall nose first at about 60kph. It had a full cage which served it's purpose and the driver walked away.

Here's the different swaybars, brumby top & auto bottom....the auto swaybar gives just enough room to clear the gearbox.

The Grumpy has HSD coilovers, a sway bar from an auto MY & custom made strut tops from 4mm plate steel ;-)

Haha, cheers Bantum I think the ute + me (120kg) is about 1000kg, going on the scales at the tip but it is still only a rough guide. The Grumpy will get a bit more weight when I put a cage in it and the only weight I've left up the back is the tow bar & relocated battery ( mainly for a tow point if ...

Cheers Folks,
There's no rear sway bar yet, and no sand bags going in the back because keeping weight down and its a fun challenge driving a slightly tail happy car ;-)

i next question, what tailshaft do i need to source ? wrx auto ? l series auto ? mix of both? I used a mix of both and it bolted straight in = L series front half (manual) and 97 wrx rear half (manual). The reason I state the year model for the wrx is that some models don't have a bolt up flange in...

Oh, and Jake, The Brumby is speed limited to 180km/h which I was hitting and staying on before the tower and through the kink, but still a lot of fun.

Nearly lost it there on about the 3rd lap ... :p Tip : You'll also have to super glue the rear view mirror in place to stop the vibrations from moving it ... ! Note : The glue won't actually hold for long, but will make the ball joint & socket tighter ... Cheers, Bantum ... Haha Bantum, It was runn...

Thanks for the coments guys, I got the windscreen back in on saturday and took the grumpy for a spin.
Make sure if you ever try this, that you insert your crome surounds before fitting the screen to the car, it would be imposible to do it when in place.

Once I cleaned the area up with a wire wheel, I drove it to a mates workshop....(no windscreen makes for a breezy drive ;-) ) and the holes were welded up, I then had to shape the welds with a die grinder & metal burr. Turned out Ok I think, hope to re-set the windscreen this weekend with new rubber...
