My Crosstrek XV
Long time no see AUSubaru. Most of my posts have probably been about ea81 lifted hatches and Brats. Haven't had any of those for awhile, but am on my 3rd Crosstrek. First got rear-ended 10 days into owning it. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x450q90/94/130507109.jpg So we traded it for another ...

Suspension upgrade for my 01 imp L.
I bought the good old GR2s and some springs from an 01 RS imp. I originally just wanted to lower the front a little and didn't intend to use the rears. They're so easy to swap, I figured I'd try the RS springs in the rear to see what would happen. Can't say I remember anyone trying the set up. It lo...

Ok!! It drives! Had some weird issues at the last minute getting it to fire up, but figured it out. Still need to figure out wiring for the temp sender, oil pressure sender and the gas gage. Need to find a hot wire for the electric choke. I'll take it in tomorrow to have a muffler fabbed up. Then we...

My 1883 4X Coupe.
I think it's the only one like it. . . You may remember my silver hatch. Well, I went and bought a coupe, stripped my hatch to nothing, and put everything on the coupe. It started as a fwd 5 speed. http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/10826black12.jpg Now it has: Custom SJR lift kit. 4 inches i...

The bull bar I have weighs maybe 30 lbs. But. A shipping estimate is tough. It has to be palletized. The weight and size of the pallet are included. Mine had charges from the shipping company in AU, receiving company in LA, customs in LA, customs release in LA, shipping company to Seattle, then ware...

4.111 swap with a 3.9 ea82 5 speed dual range?
Can it be done? I searched, came up with nothing on it. A buddy says he read about it here. Write up available maybe? The 4.111 trans I have is out of an early legacy, @1992. I've got a matching 4.111 rear diff. I've also got a 3.7 clutch type lsd. I do know how to swap those. My hatch will love me ...

I now possess 3 ea81 hatches, it's like they grow on trees. This newest one really is going to Australia. I had to find one to replace the silver one, which I was allowed to keep once I built it and fell in love with it. This one needs a motor, which will come from the other white hatch I have...

Stuff like that is a tough call. Who can say? I have a signed Auto Art car. Mark Lovell signed it for me a coule of months before he crashed and died. When he signed it, I was like "Sweet! Now I it's worth a bunch of money, being a limited production model and all." When he passed, my attitude chang...

I got it pretty much finished! Needs the idle adjusted down a little, maybe a wee bit of a tweek on the timing and it will run perfect. Started up no problem, three cranks on the starter! Ran like it had been a daily driver instead of sitting for the last 3 months. It's only got Fwd right now, just ...
