GX and RX are 2.0L. RS is 2.5L (except the new GE/GH model which are 2.0L, but I'd assume out of reach). GX is povo/grandma spec - hubcaps etc. RX and RS are basically the same everything (interior, skirts etc) as the WRX except the engine and drivetrain. I voted for the RS, the extra 1/2 a litre in...

No idea about the carby.
But on the N/A EJ's, it's better to take off the air intake and air cleaner parts and spray directly into the throttle body.

I've bought stuff from O.S for years - even a few years ago when our dollar was worth 62 cents against the USD - and will continue to do so. The best thing I can think of I've bought as of late is a set of DBA5000 rotors. DBA = Disc Brake Australia. The 5000 series are the ones made in Melbourne. Di...

There is 1 or 2 MY's (model years) of WRX's that P Platers can drive due to the power to weight ratio.
Can't remember what years exactly, but have a search thru the wrx.com.au forums as a few have gotten around it.

The part numbers changed in 6/99 from 72311AE000 to 72311AE100 or AE101.
So they use the same part from 8/98 - 6/99 and then 7/99 - 7/03.

What year was the car you got 2nd hand one out of?

You need an N/A; * oil filter bolt/banjo/union jiggera - what the oil filter screws on to, which is screwed into the block. * the plug and washer for the block - for the coolant passage, it takes a pretty decent size allen key. * a thermostat housing without the extra fittings - might be easier to b...

I don't think so.
There's a thread on liberty.asn.au about people fixing/soldering the old ones and I remember reading about someone trying to change the display to read other measurements.
Have a search over there, should be easy to find.

Depend on model you might have to buy camber bolts to compensate. Can't put camber bolts in the back of multi-link stuff - need to buy either a Whiteline bush kit (KCA399) or a Lateral Link Kit (KTA124). Used a scissor jack to turn the socket wrench. Worked great thought :) Buy a breaker bar...

There's a 2004 - 2006 Outback XT (2.5 Turbo) imported from the US that lives a couple of blocks from me - no LHD sticker anywhere on it.
Looks weird when it's driving towards you with the driver on the wrong side of the car and a 10 y.o kid in the passenger seat.
