Damn I had to take my Subaru down to Perth for a buyer to look at. Now I only have my Patrol. I will monitor uhf 16 tomorrow & will come & say hello. If you need a heavier vehicle for recovery purposes call my mobile on 0417913268. If you decide to come back through the Moore River State Forest I wi...

Hi Soobs Welcome to the forum. I think the the furtherest south anyone else is from is Mandurah and Safety Bay. The next trip is Lancelin this weekend but I think that the next popular option is around Harvey. You can get some pretty good advice on this forum. Some of the WA crew have done some craz...

I will hook up with you guys when you get near Seabird. That's close to where I live. What channel will you have your UHF CB's on? On the way back I suggest going down Bennies Rd and following the west edge of the Moore river. It goes through the Moore River State Forest. You can explore some possib...

If you can accelerate to 100km in 4th without it pinging or pulling the timing is about right. Try marking the current postion then moving it one way. If it improves keep going that way. If it gets worse go back the other way. If you can't get it right, at least you have a mark to return to until yo...

What's an '86 L Wagon worth in Perth
I am selling my L series & have no idea what it's worth. It's a reliable runner but other then that nothing special.
The redbook value on these are $1000 - $2200. Thats a huge spread.
What do you guys reckon they are going for in Perth?

Has it run since you put the new timing belts in? One of the belts may be out a tooth or the distributer may be in the wrong position. It's reeal easy to have the distributor put out when changing belts. To check the dizzie put #1 cylinder at the top of it's compression stroke & check that the rotor...

Hi Joe The brumby is a great little car for a learner driver. It is very forgiving & handles well. Just keep you foot away from the clutch when not using it. They are expensive little suckers to repair. My 16yo is learning to drive in my L series. I just hope that he doesn't take too much of a likin...

The standard ea82 wiring is a bit of a nightmare. I had the same spluttering problem on my L wagon & tried to track it down to the fuel pump. I thought that the fuel pump wasn't working, but the fact is that it doesn't operate unless the motor is turning. I once put on an aftermarket fuel pump in an...

I bought a new 6x6 flat top steel shed for $1000 a few years ago. To buy them this way it can only come in grey because they make it out of the left over sheets & turn them facing inwards. Look in the Sunday times & the quokka, they advertise sometimes. Make sure you lay a proper cement slab because...

Done a few conversions in MYs and Ls over the years and put them all lengthwise. Modified the seatback mounts and made them slightly more upright to get a bigger tank in. Still leaves room for hay, baby trolleys or tool boxes. That sounds like it might work for me. What size tank were you using. I ...
