Hi, just found out that my spare doesn't fit my Liberty! And the wheelbrace is 22mm not 19mm. Lucky it wasn't up the bush!!
I don't need a Subaru rim (with the associated cost) but obviously I need a 17" rim with the same stud pattern, then put on an identical tyre.
Any suggestions?
TIA.

Re: Updating WhereIs navigation CD
Thanks El Freddo. Agree. Also had to upgrade phone and laptop for same reason - worked perfectly but couldn't update OS. This is my first car with much technology. I'm also having an issue getting the phone to play on the radio. At least my old 2001 Corolla had a 3.5mm jack - cumbersome and low tech...

Re: Updating WhereIs navigation CD
Hi Bantum, thanks for the info. But getting the new head unit is just one issue. Importing something is one issue. Cost is another. And above all that is being sure it is 100% correct. (NB: as you'll see, I'm not too sure on the terminology. Sorry.) Coincidentally today I was at SuperCheap and also ...

Updating WhereIs navigation CD
Hi, any ideas on how to upgrade this? It is no longer available for my 2007 Liberty. Besides it would've cost about $300 - which I reckon is more than a rip off.
TIA

Re: 2007 Liberty wagon 2.0 - new motor?
Thanks El Freddo. Oh I'm mightily embarrassed. I later realised it is the rocker gasket leaking not head gasket. Phew! But let me backtrack. Subaru said to replace the head gaskets would be a minimum of $5K and two weeks. Which I hear as a blank cheque and unlimited time. A truckload for a 15yr old ...

2007 Liberty wagon 2.0 - new motor?
Hi, my Liberty needs a head gasket done. It is at 180K km. Naturally I'd get both gaskets done but given kms I'd also look at the timing chain/belt. Subaru are saying min $5K and min two weeks as they'd send head off for checking blah blah blah. I'm just wondering that if they're pulling the motor o...

Re: Stuck spark plugs 2007 Liberty
Thanks. It turns out a head gasket needs to be replaced. So when they are both being replaced it will make it easier to get the plugs out. I have seen much about the danger of either breaking the plugs or stripping the thread. Now to find out if a new motor might be cheaper (or almost cheaper) given...

Stuck spark plugs 2007 Liberty
Hi, just got this manual wagon and asked my (non dealer) mechanic to give it a 'once over'. All good but for the fact he couldn't remove three of the plugs (and didn't want to really force it). He tried getting the engine hot hoping it might work - but no go. Any suggestions? Naturally I want to rep...
