Try Ross Fraser at Cromwood Auto Service in Burwood. He's done some work for me previously (rewelding pulled out suspension mounts, as well as regular servicing) and his prices are pretty reasonable - especially compared to genuine Subaru service costs.... It is a business, so it won't be "mates rat...

Excellent. Thanks so much for that. I assume if you didn't use a relay set-up then a switch would just have it on off without the need for a restart, or not? I used the relay for current purposes. The system remains OFF until the engine is restarted (the only downside...) - this is when the ECU 're...

ABS ByPass and mod info

Sorry if this is a bit long, I just lifted it complete from where I posted it on OffroadSubarus a while ago... Hopefully it can help... Hey guys, after towing the trailer up across the Bogong High Plains Rd and down to Jokers I came to realise some of the inadequacies of the ABS system as fitted to ...

Heard its about 10G for a motorcycle entrant, maybe USD?, that might be a doable $for many. A good series to watch is "Road to Dakar" - it featured Charlie Boorman, Ewan McGregors mate from "Long Way 'Round" and "Long Way Down" - it shows exactly how hard and demanding it is for a privateer biker t...

I don't know the etiquette here for plugging mechanics or other forums so rap my knuckles if this is improper... Try Cromwood Auto Service in Burwood 9808 4820 - Ross Fraser. They were recommended to me from other Suby owners (and another fourm) and I have had no troubles at all with them. They're f...

Nice beasty, I've been seriously considering similar mods to my Outback. I've been told that the Forestor steel rims hit on the brake calipers of the Gen 3 Liberty/Outback, did you have any issues with this? Jordan. Hey Jordan, no clearance issues - they are 16". I believe you get issues trying to ...

Hey guys, there isn't much articulation available unfortunately. The nature of the multi link rear end seems to limit travel. Even with the HD springs (pre-body lift) there was only about 15mm lift. Upward travel is reasonable but they just don't want to hang down... :( The instructor is hanging on ...

I had the Yokohama AT +11's in 215/65-16 on a H6 Outback and they not only wore very quickly (I ditched them at 10,000kms with only half tread left!!) - but I found the sidewalls to be very suspect... my other half destroyed 2 totally, and 1 sufficiently to require replacement, in suburbia. She didn...
