Re: How many kms does your Subaru have?

2010 Outback, 197,000km on the clock. About 400 of them are mine. I'm not sure if the major service was done at 192,000 though.

Re: The "I wants" thread

Thanks mate! Actually I'm just about to pull the trigger on a 2010 outback! Came here looking for the manual. Not 100% on the model but it's a 2.5 with 6 speed manual (manual is rare up here) and surprisingly rust free. It's close to 200,000km so I'll have to take care of that check. The only odd th...

Re: The "I wants" thread

I just want to have a Subaru again. I've been driving a civic since moving to Canada in '15. A perfectly serviceable car but after last winter with the snow we had I really would like an Outback again or a Crosstrek.

haha I think you misunderstand. I'm not talking golf cart. I don't have the budget to compete with Blackcurrent or a Tesla, but I do aim to have something similar to this at least: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP1O-BpGBBk Also this particular SVX already has a forester gearbox/diff so it's no lon...

Project Car Selection

Hey folks. I'm in the position to acquire an SVX ( This one ). It looks pretty decent from the photos, but is unregistered so I'll have to go see Service Ontario about temporary rego or somesuch, and will have to wait for this bastard snow to go away because screw driving on the highway in an unknow...

jdmfsm manuals resource

Hey just found this during my quest for SVX details. Not sure if it's known here already though. Found it through one of the SVX related forums though I can't find the exact thread at the moment. Still: could come in handy:

My brother took a bunch of photos, but he's gone back to Melbourne with Dad so i won't see them for a week or so, when he gets back. I'm not sure which CV is damaged, actually. It clicks under acceleration, which means inner, and mostly when turning left, so it could be both the left inner and outer...

Powerlines, yesterday 23/12/2011

My Dad is over from Melbourne, and so my brother and I took him on the powerlines track. My brother in his Disco, my Dad in his Cruiser, and me in my stock Outback. I made it! But man, the track has changed since last time i went through. The chicken tracks are pretty rough on my little car! I made ...

Right-o thanks, Paul. I'll see when i can set it up - I'm on course around that time so it'd have to be on the weekend if that's ok with you. It's definitely blue, and stops once the engine warms up (or, at least, it reduces to the point where i can't see it billowing behind the car while i drive.)....

Well as far as i know the car has only had one engine, which makes it 240,000km old. It's had it's second 100k service recently (a bit late  )

As for the PCV. We changed a PCV on the intake manifold for the 100k, but i don't know about any others.

EJ25 blowing smoke...

Hey guys. The old Outback is playing silly buggers again. When the engine is cold it's blowing a bit of smoke. I feared that water was getting where it shouldn't but the water levels are unchanged. However she is using oil - not very fast though. The last bloody thing i need right now, but there you...
