Not possible, 8 bolt gearboxes use a totally new input shaft and hi lo syncro arrangement. I think SubaExtreme were developing a replacement input and hi lo for the 8 bolts but don't know if it is on the market yet.

You'll need a 100A fuse link between the Imp alt and the battery, the L link will be a lot lower than that because it is only a 60A max alt. If you still have the Imp engine fuse box flip it open and you'll see the whopping big bolt down 100 amper in there. The spade end link in an early Lib or Imp ...

I can guarantee you that it is easier to trace faults on a seperate engine harness than throwing the whole lot in and trying to get the rest of the car to work. I've seen it all and this is the best(only) way to do it. I have 50 odd subaru cars with engine conversions running around and have done th...

Thanks Mecha, he's beautiful, I'm smitten. I spoke to my mate and he said it was very simple to change seats. All that's needed is to drill the spot welds through on both seats so both rails are removed and then lay the L rails onto the Lib seats and bolt them together with Hi tensile bolts. This wa...

The engine fits in with no issues but radiator space is limited. It has a custom version of a lib radiator with alloy tanks. It uses a Lib dual range with L low range and 3.9 LSD. It F**ken hammers, with scorpion 14's and offroad tyres it is still very quick by any means, yet to try it with 13's. It...

While it is certainly possible to change the whole harness as Legacytt has done I would suggest that it is by no means the easiest way. It is easier and probably cheaper over all to have the Liberty harness stripped and prepared and then simply wiring it in to the L power supplies. Sunspares charge ...

Import L series also had headlight washers that use a massive(coke can sized) pump that mounts on the bottom of the washer bottle. I have seen a few floating around at work. You could use a dozen squirters with one of these.

You'll have to fit the LS centre from an RS turbo into an L diff. Not difficult if you have the skills.

My mate has Forester seats in his EJ25 L. They weren't verly difficult to fit, I think he used the L rails and adapted them to the Foz seats. And yes he did it properly, he works for an engineering company.
I can get details if anyone is interested.

Aftermarket or factory. We have a cobra neck style dump for an L at work for $100. It is mandrel bent from one length of pipe so is not hand made.
