I highly recommend the ICOM IC-400PRO Commercial grade quality. I have had mine for about 8 years and it hasnt missed a beat. Not sure if they have a newer model that does 80channel. Might be worth looking into. These guys have always been good when I have bought radios: http://www.prestigecom.net....

the tach sense wire needs to go to the negative side of the coil.

if you have a later model l series theres a tach signal wire that goes to a black box on the right hand A pillar right up under the dash it should be yellow on a 6 pin connector and if you unplug it the fuel pump stops working.

brumby's are negative switched like the MY wagons

i have had a similar problem before with h7 semi sealed inserts with metal backs where the back of the inside lights short to the body and in my case the high beam came on full whenever the headlights were turned on

if the sti is like the liberty it will have two fuel senders in the tank and the brumby only has one

you will have to modify the cluster to remove the divider circuit if this is the case

It's probably possible to swap 25spline stubs in to the gearbox. Not sure how difficult or if it's actually possible but maybe Apline might know, he's a bit of a gearbox guru. you can swap the stubs but im pretty sure the gearbox has to come apart to achieve this there not the same as the rear diff
