Brumby CV's

The cv's in my Brumby are on there way out. Was wondering where a good place to get new shafts in south Brisbane area is? Have found some on ebay for $99 each, seen them for up to $200 each elsewhere, is there much benefit spending the extra money or are they all pretty much the same?

I've got no issues with steel rims. Don't want to redrill hubs for 6 stud as it's my daily driver and would like to keep it as legal as possible. My next thought was to contact fourby's as I know they make custom rims and I'll see if they can do anything for me. That would be great yarney, the cheap...

15 inch wheels

I am wondering if there are any 15 inch wheels anywhere that fit a standard Brumby stud pattern? Reason I am asking is there seem to be a decent amount of standard tyres off other 4WD's around the 28 inch mark that can be had for cheap when the owners upgrade. Thought it could be a decent alternativ...

Ask on http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com. I think jeepengines.com are a sponsor of the site over there.

And by the way, the filter should be changed with every oil change.

Cheers for the replys, will keep looking for a EJ22 and rebuild it myself with some help from mates if required. The current engine still runs fine so if it takes a while for the rebuild to get done it's no huge drama.

I've got a TJ Wrangler with 4 inch lift for 4wding so the brumby doesn't see any offroad action anyway

Approx cost of parts for EJ22 rebuild

I have an EJ22 running in my brumby and have been thinking about either rebuilding this engine or getting another engine to rebuild and install. Anyone have a rough idea on what it would cost in parts do rebiuld an EJ22? Also could I use the EJ22 computer and wiring loom to run an EJ25 or would I ha...

Is the lift kit still available? Ewan No, I am currently unsure if I'm going to lower the brumby or run the lift so will be keeping the lift kit until I make up my mind. Also for other peoples info I have removed the strut spacers and all the rear components of the lift kit, still utilising the eng...

Still got the standard gearbox at the moment but will go AWD gearbox some time this year hopefully, so might wait till that goes in and see how much clearance I've got around the new gearbox.
