Good info there, but still doesn't explain why the ej flywheel and clutch assembly can't be used.

Yes Toonga, I have ej22 with full clutch assembly, adaptor plate and l series 5 speed. I have looked for the answer to this question but can't find a definitive answer. I don't have a L
flywheel. I just want to know why this can or can't be done.

Mate try Peppertown on Sandgate Road at Virginia ( northside) They do outdoor playground equipment, cannoes, and furniture but also sell matting and resin and cattylist as well. And I think they're open Sundays

Thanks Dfoyl, yeah I will swap the seats over and keep all the 5 speed swap bits as well. I assume the L driveshafts will have to be swapped as well but can you tell me if they need modding to fit, Also do you think there's any benefit in fitting L booster and /or master cylinder. Thanks

Thanks for all the replies guys. I have a 89 brumby that I,m turning into all that it can be. I recently bought a friends L series wagon predominantly for the 5 speed and its wheels but was wondering what other bits were worth taxing before I wreck it ( anyone need L bits ).

yeah, Alpineraven. Never got to drive it, but did get most my money back. The only stumbling block were the driveshafts. Remember this was about 6 years ago when all the nay-sayers said it was impossible. Anyway money is still short just like my memory, which is why I have to justify all the fuss.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I once did a 2.5 quad cam swap into Brumby but never finished it. Had to sell to pay ex-wife. Anyway never got to drive it and just lately I managed to procure another Brumby that basically is in good nick. The motor seems to go alright, but the thought of twincam sw...

Is Ej - Brumby swap worth doing

I'd like some feedback from people who have done the Ej swap, both turbo and N/a, who could objectively give an opinion as to the viability of its on and off- road capabilities.
