Exhaust Flange Bolt

New brumby had a stripped exhaust flange bolt where it inserts into the head. Brainstormed at work about fixit ideas and had all sorts of recommendations regarding helicoils and chemical putty from rev head co workers. Went to Ausubaru forum and got some good ideas. However I went to local muffler s...

It has this vibration somewhere in the drive train and I'll nut it out. I've been crawling all underneath it and just tidyin...

I have put the axle back together and will go with your idea, Matatak. I have stuffed up the roll pin anyway...so will have to get some on Monday. Tied up tomorrow..(fathers day) but will continue on that line of thought. This will eliminate where the vibration is coming from anyway..but still think...

Excess movement on rear splines

Hi all, I picked up an 88 brumby the other day in Ipswich and have been going over it. Just tidying up a few things on it. It has an EA82Turbo with a five speed box and 4wheel disc brakes. I was picking up a vibration like a tail shaft balance thing but have found that the rear axles have excess pla...

A very good read is "Mail for the Back of Beyond" by John Maddock.(Kangaroo Press) It tells the story of the mail truck drivers travelling over no roads, heavy sandhills and dry/flooding creeks back in the 1930's 1950's...through the outback of South Australia up to and through the Birdsville area o...
