When i did a front inner there wasn't much warning, just let go, no clicking only a slight rumbling noise a little before it gave way...

What about wiring?
If you find drilling spot welds and rewelding them easy then its not difficult...

Wiring wouldn't be that hard, prob use some of the the donor cars wiring.

i think the place that makes the plate's is in malaga, licsys i think its called, they might deal directly with the public, i doubt it but u never know...
You can get those one way screws, not sure if thats enough for midland folk tho, maybe run an electric charge through the plates...

Easiest thing is to get it rebalanced by a workshop, they've got the machines to get it near on perfect first time, while it may take a few removal, refitals to get it good doing it yourself...
