I've noticed that as wel on some of the TT engines I've seen pics of,must be different year or something.

Mine should be a '96 model, at least that's what it says in the oil filler cap

Those pics of the cam timing look ok really? the double marker is not alligned on both cams, is this the way it's supposed to be? Do you have power going to the fuel relay in a start pulse? nope, ecu does't give any signal to the fuel pump what so ever. and you have a twin turbo in a VW bug ?? yes,...

ordered a new belt and wil put that on this weekend.

is it possible this is the cause of the ecu not giving a signal to the fuel pump relay and the brown ecu?
seems to be a long shot to me.

it's a 3 plug ECU out of a '96 JDM manual Legacy TT.

I have the (I think correct) ECU pinout but need the wiring diagram from ECU to the engine.

I'll check out the timing belt postion tonight. Should be that all the markers on the pullys line up with the markers on the engine, right?

the fuel pump relay works.

Either the engine will misfire or I just stop it because of the fuel that comes through the primary turbo (very dangerous in the exhaust)

the harness had been stripped down before I bought it to fit my car (VW Bub), but I've driven it with the TT engine in it for about 6 weeks before the loom got fried. The brown ECU relay on my '96 JDM EJ20TT is broken and I need to replace it.
