legacy spring?'s

Are 1997 legacy outback springs taller then normal 1997 legacy springs. Are they the same height or are they just the same spring and the struts are different. Also are legacy wagon springs stiffer or taller then legacy sedan springs, since wagons are expected to carry heavier loads. Thanks in advance

help Identify trans

Hello I found a dual range transmission here in the usa from a 1997 jdm 2.0 turbo legacy. Can anybody tell me what the gearing is. The trans ID says 64-ty752x1dca. Since its a turbo does it have 4.11 gearing or is it like the older 91 turbos that had like 3.7 or 3.9 gears. It comes with: tranny, lin...

dual range questions

hello I may have found a dual range transmission out of a 97 jdm legacy here in the usa. My question is what ratio's are they, did they come in 4.11 or 3.9. If they just came in 3.9 can it be converted to 4.11 and if so, is it easy to do. If I can get it and it is 3.9 and I wanted to convert it to 4...

kings vs pedders

It seems like most of you on the forums use king springs compared to pedders, is there any particular reason most of you use the kings instead of pedders, because pedders has some dealers in the usa so I can get them probably around $100 or $200 cheaper over all, are the pedders heavy duty standard ...

4eat questions

Well thanks to you all I'm getting my suspension sorted out, now I have a few transmission questions that I could use some answers to. My 1995 subaru legacy has the 4.11 auto mated to the 2.2 engine and since I have 28 inch tires on it, the gearing is off as is the acceleration, with 4.44 gears I wo...

The tires don't rub on the front of the rear fender when the shock compresses, they rub on the back of the rear fender wear the mud flap would be. On the legacy body styles because the shocks aren't mounted straight up and down they are kinda designed with the top farther back then the bottom, its a...

hello all I have a 1995 legacy 2nd gen I believe, I have lifted it with kyb outback struts and springs and am running 28 inch all terrains, with no camber or caster problems and aligned within normal alignment specs, the springs are from a 97 outback so i am assuming they are old and worn out, when ...

I have a 1995 legacy 2nd generation, I have raised it with outback struts and am running 28 inch all terrains, I have ordered some skid plates and am now looking to improve the traction some more. Can anybody tell me what ratio my rear diff is and if there are any subaru lsd's that can bolt in, quai...
