Thanks a lot for the help lads. What car do you think would be ideal to snatch all the stuff i need for a ej25 conversion with most of the components i need for the AWD DR option?
Cheers Chris

Is the DOHC ej25 that much better engine than the single? If the car was to get a 3in lift and was for offroading would offroad an EJ dual range AWD with L series low range be the best option or the part time 4wd? Im assuming that the AWD would be the best option???? Maybe I'll look for a newish car...

I am a new member to this site and just came across this thread and read it from the start. I liked the comment of "not tradesmen to do anything with cars" or words to that effect. You two guys would make most tradesmen whimper with the sight of that car. Seeing this thread really make you proud to ...

Again thanks guys I am a serious Subaru newb but am loving them more with everything I read. It seems the possibilities are endless as far as mods go. I spoke to Jeff at crossbred today and got a quote on a 5 stud conversion and twin piston brakes allround. As far as doing it myself I would have per...

Have I considered a 5 stud conversion? I have now!!!! Tell me more as the wheel choice is starting to bug me a bit. Will doing the conversion mean I have to completely change the front disks alltogether? Ok just for a second I have decided on a 5 stud conversion. What is involved and what will it co...

I just replaced the temp sender in my 92 Brumby. My fans were kicking in but not until the guage said it was 3/4 towards boiling. A new one cost me $44 and the guage hasn't gone past half since. The temp sender looks like a large brass nut that screws into the radiator and has a single wire comming ...

Bought a scrappy not a scoobie!
Hi all, 10 months ago I bought a 1992 Subaru Brumby. All of the signs said "no don't buy it" but I was in a tight spot and purchased it with a quite severe oil leak. Which of course disguised other problems. Since purchasing I have replaced the oil pump, water pump, temperature sender (radiator). Fr...

92 Brumby Oil leak
Hi guys new to the site as I have just purchased a 1992 GL Subaru Brumby. When i bought it it had a considerable oil leak problem. After degreasing the whole engine bay i narrowed it down to the front engine seal/oil pump area. I firstly took off the oil pump and replaced the gasket and the small O-...
